Your information is used solely to provide the app's features:
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the app.
Your account and household data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Data is protected using row-level security policies that ensure only members of your household can access your data. The app is hosted on Vercel.
Preference data (dark mode, staple overrides, cooked days) is stored locally in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.
Meal Planner Pro uses OpenAI's API to power recipe generation, recipe import, and pantry-based meal suggestions. When you use these features, relevant content — such as a meal name, ingredient list, or recipe URL — is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing.
OpenAI processes this data according to their own Privacy Policy. We do not enable OpenAI's optional data sharing or training programs. Your data is used only to generate the immediate response and is not retained by OpenAI beyond their standard API data handling policies.
If you submit feedback through the app, your message and household name are sent to us via Resend, an email delivery service. This information is used only to read and respond to your feedback. We do not store feedback submissions in our database.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Your data is shared only with the service providers listed above (Supabase, Vercel, OpenAI, Resend) strictly to operate the app.
If you choose to share a meal publicly within the app, that meal's name, ingredients, and recipe will be visible to other Meal Planner Pro users. You can un-share a meal at any time.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you would like your account and all associated data deleted, please contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.
Meal Planner Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
